EMSA Capital announced today the first closing of CEE Special Situation Fund, a €200 million fund focused on making capital investments in the Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS region.
VIENNA, April 15, 2011 – In raising its new fund, EMSA partnered with Pamoja Capital (www.pamojacapital.com), a Swiss-based investment firm that will contribute both significant capital as well as operational expertise in the region.
Parham Pouladdej, Managing Director of EMSA Capital, said: “We are very pleased with the fund’s first operational closing and our new partner Pamoja. We have broadened our investor base and are extremely grateful to our cornerstone investors, IFC and EBRD, for their support of our fund. I am also pleased to announce that EMSA has completed its separation from CRG Partners group, a US advisory firm.
This successful closing reflects our solid track record in implementing sophisticated and complex operational and financial turnarounds, the strength of our team and investment strategy, as well as our unique positioning in the region.”
